Legend In My Own Mind

Hes an excellent gamer with an eye for arcade games has an almost perfect gamerscore and is a forza 2 forum game regular his name Jason but you may know him as Ank 1.
Welcome Ank
Q.What's the story behind your gamertag?
A.My nickname is Ank, so i tried that for my gamertag, but it was already taken, so i went for Ank it's not very creative, but hey, that's me all over.
Q.What is your occupation/job?
A.I worked as a car mechanic for 17 years after i left school, but i quit about 3 years ago. I now work in a motor factors selling the parts rather than fitting them. That makes me 36 years old. If i was a bit younger maybe i could finish the rest of the games on my gamercard, but the reflexes aint what they used to be.
Q.How long have you been on Xbox Live?
A.I've been on xbox live since about a week after the 360 launched.
Q.What previous consoles have you owned and what is your favourite?
A.I've been gaming for around 30 years, and i've owned pretty much all the consoles that have been out.My favourite console would be the Nintendo 64, so many great games on it.
Q.What's your proudest achievement to date in terms of gaming can be any console?
A.My proudest gaming achievement would be maximising my A-spec points on Gran turismo 4. It took months to complete, but it was a great game.
Q.What do you think of xbox.com? could you suggest any improvements that need to be made?
A.Xbox.com is a very informative site, with a decent, friendly bunch of users. You get the odd idiot, but you have to expect that anywhere.Hmmm, improvements, dunno realy, i thought it was better before they made the recent changes.
Q.What is your favourite xbox 360 game offline and online?
A.My favourite 360 game, offline would be Oblivion, and online would be Forza 2.
Q.What's the key to having an almost perfect gamerscore and how do you have the patience?
A.The key to trying to get a perfect gamercard, well the answer is in you question. patience.
Q.What's the funniest thing you have heard or seen on xbox live?
A.Funniest things i've heard was while playing PGR3. This guy said he was an arab and he offered to but my girlfriend for a camel, i said i wanted 2, we settled on a camel and a goat. A week later she dumped me, don't know if she she heard us talking.
Q.What game would you like to see on the 360 that is not currently available?
A.I would like to see the Final Fantasy series and Gran turismo series come to the 360. It's not going to happen, but it would be nice.
Q.Would you care to tell us what your set up consists of?
A.My setup is not much realy. I have the 360 in the living room, on a 30" widescreen, it's not even high def.
Q.Do you have any other interests besides gaming you would like to share with us?
A.My other main interests, are golf and snooker/pool. I'm a 17 handicap at golf, but i don't play as much as i used to. I normaly go playing snooker and pool at least once a week.
Q..Do you have any other interests besides gaming you would like to share with us?
Thank you for taking time with this interview any words of wisdom for the readers?

Microsoft has said that it is facing a bill of more than $1bn to cover the cost of offering extended warranties, after failings with its Xbox 360.
The company admitted it had been forced to make "an unacceptable number of repairs" to the consoles after key hardware failed.
Customers who suffer the problems will now be given a free three-year warranty, the company said.
The failures are indicated by three red flashing lights on the console.
Microsoft has not revealed how many of its machines have suffered the problem, but said the number was "bigger than we are comfortable with."
It added that the move - which will also see some people reimbursed for postage and repairs on consoles which were out of warranty - was aimed at keeping the loyalty of its customers.
"The majority of Xbox 360 owners are having a great experience with their console and have from day one," said Robbie Bach, president of Microsoft's Entertainment & Devices Division.
"But this problem has caused frustration for some of our customers and for that, we sincerely apologise."
It added its Xbox division was still expected to make a profit during the financial year beginning 1 July 2007.
Migration manoeuvre
Separately the company has announced an October launch of its advanced version of the Xbox - the Xbox 360 Elite - in Japan, where it lags behind Nintendo and Sony in the console market.
And the company has also unveiled plans to open a software development centre in Canada which it said was a way of hiring talented people from abroad who would struggle to obtain a US working visa.
The Vancouver location would "allow the company to continue to recruit and retain highly skilled people affected by the immigration issues in the US", Microsoft said.

Manhunt 2 on Wii and PlayStation 2 has been banned after the British Board of Film Classification refused to give the game a rating due to its "unremitting bleakness and callousness of tone... which constantly encourages visceral killing with exceptionally little alleviation or distancing".
Speaking about the ban, BBFC director David Cooke director said that to issue a certificate to Manhunt 2 "would involve a range of unjustifiable harm risks, to both adults and minors, within the terms of the Video Recordings Act, and accordingly that its availability, even if statutorily confined to adults, would be unacceptable to the public".
